Thank you to all who have signed up to volunteer for Take Pride in Smith Mountain Lake cleanup day! Your commitment to helping keep SML clean and healthy is very much appreciated. Here are a few reminders:
1. TPISML will take place on May 4 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
2. Dumpsters will be available at the following locations May 4-5:
- Magnum Point Marina (B37)
- Walnut Run (R49)
- Gills Creek Marina (G2)
- Skelton 4-H Center (B40)
- Bay Rock Marina (R87)
3. Please pick up your supplies (gloves and trash bags) as well as your commemorative T-shirts and celebration tickets at the TLAC office (400 Scruggs Road, Suite 200 – next to Old Oak Cafe) prior to May 4. The office is open Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
4. Make plans to attend our volunteer appreciation event on May 8 from 6-8 p.m. at Mango’s Bar & Grill. We’ll have food, beverages (cash bar) and awesome door prizes. Additional guests may attend for $10 with kids 10 and under admitted free.
